Straight answers
- How can I help Colombia after the earthquake?
- You can fund the reopening of a specific micro-business through the Rise Anew campaign: donations go to Rebel Business School Colombia, which delivers debt-free training and working capital to merchants in Pereira and Quibdó. €200 funds one complete programme place.
- Where does the money go?
- All donations are collected through WhyDonate and paid to the bank account of Rebel Business School Colombia, which executes the programme. €25 of each place covers the entrepreneur kit; €175 covers programme delivery, mentorship coordination and follow-up.
- Why debt-free instead of micro-loans?
- After a disaster, repayments start before the business is stable. Debt-free reactivation lets the merchant keep the margin earned in the first weeks, which is when survival is decided.
- Is my donation tax-deductible?
- No. This donation does not qualify for tax deductions or credits in Colombia and no tax certificates are issued. Donors elsewhere should check local treatment with their own advisor.
